Save money on stamps

Saving money on stamps is possible. All you need to do is reduce your need for them. Find a substitute for stamps altogether. Like everything else in this country, the price of stamps have steady risen for the past 6 years. They seem to go up every two weeks and it is hard to keep up with them. If I were you, I would only use these stickers for emergencies. Here are some tips to keep more money in your pocket for the long run.

BUY THEM IN BULK

Avoid going to small bodegas to purchase stamps. They often cost .10 to .20 cents more than the regular price. Do not buy them individually. Chances are you will need to put a stamp on something else in the future. It is best to go to your local post office and buy books of stamps. You can save money and have plenty for the holidays when you need to send cards to family members. You can also send e-cards too.

SEND E-MAIL

We are now living in the digital age. If you need to send someone an important message, you no longer should have to type up a letter and send it "snail mail". It can get there faster by using e-mail. You can even send 50 or more emails at the same time. Just type in an email address and follow it by a comma. It's that simple. One press of the button and you have communicated with dozens of people simultaneously. This is the new way. Trust me, it is. I understand some things are better the old fashion way, but these are tough times. Just send an e-mail. You don't have to worry about stamps or anything. Save some money.

PAY YOUR BILLS ONLINE

This can be time consuming, but with the digital age come some real advantages. Pay your bills through your online checking account. Have the money extracted every month for each bill. It is called online bill pay. This takes away the cost of putting stamps on separate envelopes and mailing them out. Have this done automatically around the time you get paid so you do not have to spend time remembering what bill is due.

PAY YOUR CAR INSURANCE EVERY SIX MONTHS

Car insurance can be paid every month or six months. My friend does this and it saves him time and money. To do this, you should have the sum available. Pay it twice a year. It is less stress on you and more money in your pocket.

In all, there are so many ways to conserve cash on stamps. The present state of the economy is causing people to find creative ways to save money. It is no longer just a good idea folks, it is now a means of survival.
