Autumn into Winter
The leaves are turning
In the morning breeze,
From variegated greens
To yellows on the trees.
Bright reds and brown
With the sun aglow.
Spectacular picture

Bedecked they sway
Like dancers do fly
A ballet unmatched

The leaves are falling
Blowing around,
Gliding up the street
Just a whisper they sound.
Brown crunched up pieces
Of crisp deadened leaves,
Mingle and gather
Into piles of sheaths.
Trees stand bare
Winter is here,
Close the final curtain
Until another year.
