I feel that there are choices to makes when packing lunch or eating out.
There are several techniques of eating healthy. I have been packing lunch not only for myself but also for my children for years.
The number one thing to do is go shopping. Now if you have a buget for the month or week of how much to spend then you can buy certain things and not buy other foods. For example buy food to make sandwiches for lunch but for the week if you can not buy a dessert than you buy that item next time. When you go shopping you can buy items that are light so there is not a lot of heavy ingrediants like carbs. Anyway you can buy healthy organic foods from the store or from Traders'Joe. There is so many items in this particular store that is halthy for you and your family. Sometimes it takes me alot of time to get out of this store because of all the choices of food you can purchase. So when you pack lunch for yourself you can be creative and have different lunches everyday. Nowadays there are so many foods that are designed for on the go people or households.
If you make dinner the night before and if you make extra than you can pack this food for lunch. You know it will be healthy because you made it and you know the ingrediants you use to make the food. You can sometimes take can of soap to go for lunch if you work at a office where there is a microwave. There are so many food that is microwaveable like TV dinners or lunches.
If you do not have not more than 5 minutes to pacj your lunch than you can pack it and get it ready night before. To go out there are choices to eat also like almost every fastfood drive-in sells salads. Salads is healthy to eat. If you get sandwich there is a choice between chips or fruit/salad. You can get yogart instead of soda or flavored water. Nice thing is there are options on what you want to eat and the choices you can have to eat a healthy lunch. I know almost every restaurant or a drive-thru have options for healthier foods. This healthy food items are on their menu and it is the law to write this kind of menu items. For myself I take water bottles from home and drink that. I also sometimes buy crystal light to go packets where I can carry them with me and when I am ready mix it with water.
I have used crystal light mix with my water for over 5 years and I love the taste and I know it is light to drink. I have not had any side effects with this product.
So in conclusion what I have discussed in this articles are some of the ideas of packing or buying healthy lunch. Remember you are the one who purchase the lunch and than you eat what you buy. You can always make smart decisions on what you want to eat. For myself I always try to eat only breakfast, lunch and dinner. I do not try to eat snacks in between and if I do than I eat some nuts or carrots or something healthy. I stay away from chips and cookies.
