On my Own
As the sun came over the mountain.
I rose to the top of the hill,
and looked over the valley below me.
I was all alone but felt safe
and secure in my own little world.
Who needed friends, to put you down and leave you alone.
Friends were just there to use you, but they say the meaning
of friend is someone who is always there when you need them.
Maybe I do need friends?!?
Friends who care and respect me
for myself. But who are they?
How do I tell?
I guess I`ll always be
on my own.
