Mac and cheese is one of those foods you can endulge in. It is not only a comfort food but it is a fullfilling meal in it self. Mac and cheese has been a family tradition for many years at least thats what my grandmother told me. My recipe is simply and oh so good. The best part it feeds a crowd.

1 box elbow macaroni
8 oz container sour cream
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
8 oz asiago cheese
8 oz cheese blend- your choice
1 1/2 c milk
1 egg
salt and pepper to taste

Cook noodles according to box, rinse and drain. Salt water first.
Pour noodles in mixing bowl add all cheeses reserve a little for top.
Add milk, sourcream, egg and pepper. Mix well,(the egg is what holds it all together) and pour in ungreased casserole.
Add reserved cheese on top, bake in oven for 30 minutes @350 degrees or until cheese is bubbly. Let mac and cheese rest for about 10 to 12 minutes then serve. Um! now how does that sound. Enjoy.
