Poetry: You

by Samantha Brown

Created on: September 26, 2008

I gave you all of me,not just parts or pieces,
just all of me.

You took my soul, I was lost a long time, spelled
bound by your control.

I dare not let go, for I thought I would be lost,
lost to what, that's how lost I was, I didn't know.

Once gone away, twice again by any other day, I just
believed it was ok.

I gave something to you, but you didn't understand it
love is something wonderful, not something you ever forget.

You dare tell me, you love me like a precious jewel,
why was I treated so cruel.

I'll never forget you, this is indeed so, because I gave you
a beautiful girl, that you'll never know.

Every bit of you, stands in her so true, she's the light of my
life, and the being of my soul.

I see you everyday when I wakeup anyway, because of you,
she's here too.

You have taken a part of me, I rarely allow anyone to see,
the love I gave, before you changed me.

You didn't make me bitter, just causious to love, I hold it so close,
until I've fashion a strong will.

I give no excuse as to why I do, but because of you, I have too!
