Are your muscles sore from gardening? Did pregnancy hurt your back? Is the stress from your job affecting your health? A regular massage may help. Finding a masseuse that is right for you can improve the way you feel. For tips on finding your perfect match, see my list below.
1. Certification-Is the masseuse a certified massage technician? Have they been to school for training? Achieving the best results requires a proper massage technique. Use caution when selecting a masseuse. Ask to see credentials!
2. Flexible Scheduling-Does the establishment or masseuse have convenient hours? Are there appointments on evenings and weekends? Can you book double appointments for yourself and your spouse? Last minute booking is great!
3. Convenient location-Is the establishment located in a convenient area? Is it near your home or office? Is the parking nearby and free of charge? A massage shouldn't be a hassle!
4. Massage table-When you are looking for a good massage, make sure they use a table. The tables are more relaxing than chairs. It's easier to get comfortable!
5. Multiple workers-When you are looking to find a good masseuse, you need to shop around. Try having a massage with different technicians. You can find a style you like!
6. Easy payments-Does the company or masseuse bill your insurance directly? Will you need to pay money upfront? Is the payment process offered convenient for your needs? Paying for regular appointment should be simple!
7. Hygiene-Check out the hygiene of the masseuse and the establishment in general. Are the towels and sheets laundered after individual use? Having a quick look and asking a few questions can keep your body healthy!
8. After Care-Does the masseuse give you pointers to avoid your pains? Are there stretches to do at night? Do they inform you of good positions for sleeping and working? Homework is a good prevention!
9. Relaxation-What relaxation features do they offer? Do they play relaxing music? Oils and scents can help reduce your tension. Private rooms avoid unwanted spectators!
10. Personalized-Does the masseuse adjust their technique to suit your needs? Do they change their pressure when asked? Are you questioned in advance for focus areas? Your massage should be personalized and different each time!
A massage can be a wonderful thing to ease those aches and pains. Talk with you doctor and insurance provider to see what costs are covered. Asking your friends and relatives for contacts is also a good idea. A good masseuse can improve your health and reduce your daily stressors. Good luck!
