TELLURIDE WINTER ADVENTURES
A winter haven is amongst the mountains of Telluride Colorado. The highlands are so inviting. Appearing as though they are welcoming you up onto the peaks. This is the place that makes Olympians true to their sport and winners of the game. The perfect destination, not only for skiing but for the entertaining activities to do here; while you are visiting this mountain range at a western style town. The location is at an elevation of 8750 feet in the San Juan Rockies; making it truly, a skiing wonderland.
1.) ARTS AND COMMUNITYLive music at the Sheridan Opera House. Checkout the Historic Theater that was built by the miners in 1913. Watch a film or concert here, and enjoy. You might even see a ghost; the building is old enough for it.

2.) DOG SLEDDINGWho wouldn't be enthusiastic at being able to go on a Dog Sledding Tour. A guide or musher will assist you with harnessing the dogs, steering the sled or maybe you just want to sit back and enjoy the experience while your guide takes over. The guides encourage interaction with the huskies.
3.) ICE CLIMBINGThe San Juan Mountains has many locations to enjoy for the enthusiasts' of the sport of Ice Climbing. If you are a beginner you might want to go to the nearby Ouray Ice Park to practice first. The Ice Park has climbs for all levels and experience. After that, venturing on your journey you will have enjoy your experience; climbing up a frozen waterfall and lots of other venturous quests of ice climbing. Bridal Falls and Ingram Falls are among the favorite places to Ice Climbing.
4.) ICE SKATINGThe fun of skating is right around the corner. Either if you are a beginner or experienced. Everything is right here for the best Ice Skating time you can experience in the beautiful Telluride Valley. In Telluride the Harley Ice Rink and the Iconic Town Park Skating Rink is the place to be. Take a free ride up to the Mountain Village to the frozen pond for the
third Ice Skating destination.
5.) RESTAURANT*Cosmopolitan Restaurant, the Cuisines: American, French, Contemporary

The vibrant bar scene and saloons, entertain with live music.
Smuggler's Brewpub
where they brew it themselves.
Fly Me To The Moon Saloon, live music and a good place to hang out and chat with locals and tourists alike.
7.) SLEIGH RIDEKeep warm under the blanket on this winter wonderland. Rides can carry up to 12 people for larger groups or choose a sleigh with just 2 and your choice to a dinner by a fire or not. However you like it; the ride alone is a special treat to enjoy and the extras just make it that much merrier.
8.) SNOWMOBILINGHave fun on a Tour to the Historical Ghost Town as you hit the landscape sections that others can't seem to get to so easily as you are on this exciting adventure ride. Even enjoy the Hot Springs for a soak. Ah, so relaxing after the interesting old western town.
9.) SNOWSHOEINGGuided Tours can take you to destinations and tell you stories of the historical tales that have been told for generations on end. The Telluride Ski Resort offers 2-3 hours trip; or you can even rent a pair of snow shoes and skis and venture off to look at the beautiful landscape and hear all the wonderful sounds of nature.
10.) SHOPPINGCheckout Telluride's downtown or historic district and Telluride Mountain Village. From lovely Boutiques to art galleries, outdoor sports equipment rentals and buying. Plus outerwear shops. There are all the basic shopping necessities available too and many other neat shops that might interest you.
