The old saying, "You can't get anything for free" is true, for the most part. In this struggling economy, however, everyone is trying to make ends meet and find deals wherever they can. You will hardly ever find a place in this world that is giving things away, but there are a few methods on how to get free sample that people can utilize in their lives.

One way to get free sample is to look for discount plans offered at grocery and department stores in which you frequently shop. Most of the plans offer free samples and other stuff for little or no charge after a number of points have been acquired. These points can be redeemed for many of the products in the store. It is almost like they are thanking you for being a customer.

College students can also get free sample of things they may need. I work at a university, so there are always some kinds of event on campus where free stuff is being given away. Sometimes, these events offer free food and/or things like beauty supplies and t-shirts. There may be times where you have to fill out a survey, but most of the time showing up is all it takes. The best time to go to tables is near the end of the event, when the venders are giving away their entire surplus. In addition to the free samples, some of them offer coupons to purchase the product.

Mail-in rebates are also opportunities for people to get free samples. After a person purchases so much of a product, some companies offer items when customers mail their receipt and the wrapper the products came in. sometimes, it's samples of a new product coming out or even major products. Many people never get free samples this way because of the hassle of keeping their receipts and making sure that they turn everything in on time and according to instructions.

Thanks to the Internet, though, people can get free samples just by clicking their mouse. Just about every company now has a website and gives customers free samples of both existing products and preview products. One of my favorite is Oil of Olay's website. Because I use the products made by this company, I became a member of the website. Since becoming a member, I have received samples of just about every one of their products. When they are about to release a new product, I always receive an e-mail invitation to try it out. Find out if a company or product that you use offers such amenities.

There are many ways to get free samples. The things mentioned above are just a few ways a person can get something for nothing. It takes knowledge of the places where you do a lot of business. Most of the time, they offer free samples to loyal customers. This can be done both offline and online. The best thing to do is find out what works best for you.
