The reasons for husbands to do housework are really quite simple. I say this only now that I've gotten a little older, and hopefully, a little wiser. Because as a young man, I was probably a little backward thinking, like most of the married male friends that I have today.

For starters. It's only right and fair that men do some of the housework! The house dosen't get messy by just one person. It's a family affair. So all should contribute to the cleaning the home. Whomever still thinks that the job of house cleaning is strictly for the lady of the house, is way behind in the times!

In all truth. I never thought that doing the housework was such a tough job! It really is quite demanding! Now that I'm retired, I finally see just how much work actually goes into the cleaning of our home. It's very time consuming, and tedious. To say the least!

I never realized that my wife's day started from the time she got up until the time she went to bed. As the man of the house. Ha! I started my day with the coffee she had already made for me. Went to work. Put in my fair share on the job. Came home and took it easy. My wife's day for example, would start before I got out of the shower, and didn't end until she went to bed!

I honestly never thought about how hard and long a day of housework could be. Now that I'm at home so much more. I'm more than willing to help the lady of the house in any way I can! Now I see exactly what she had been doing for all these years. God Bless her heart!

Believe me gentleman when I tell you that housework is every bit as tough as any job had ever been. Plus the woman's day is about twice as long! Now if my wife needs help with anything. Like the old saying goes," I'm Johnny on The Spot"! Whether there are dishes that need to be washed, or clothes that need taken care of, I try to help in any way I can.

Remember fellows, just do whatever you see that needs to be done. Absolutely don't wait for your other half to have tell you what needs to be done. You have to treat it just like you did your job. I know for myself, I was a little intimidated by the fact I didn't know exactly what to do at first. But once you have her method down, it becomes much easier. If you are not sure about something, don't hesitate to ask! She will appreciate it more than you know!

So. In conclusion. I believe that every husband needs to know exactly what their wife's have to look forward to every day. It will absolutely bring you closer together as a couple, and as friends and partners. It will be a real eye-opener for most. I dare say. But once you come to understand what your better half does in her life, and how much she does for you. I guarantee you will have a much larger appreciation for her and her efforts, and you will quickly come to realize just how important, she truly is!
