Valentine's Day from the gay perspective

Valentines Day from a gay perspective. Everyday should be for experssing our love but only one day out the year people go all out and that is Valentines Day. I feel that the gay community is more excited about Valentines Day. On this day we express our love for that speacial person no matter what. I feel we are more romantic on this day and we go the extra mile to make sure this day is perfect. I have dated several men but on this day I never recieved anything or they seem to forget in some way or take me to get a cheap meal at a hamburger joint; but I always was eager to give a gift or do something nice. When I started dating woman it was totally different. A woman tends to go the extra mile because shes a woman she knows exactly what a woman want and need. She tends to shower you with roses, candy, a nice get away, dinner, and so much more. Since I have been dating women I start to count down the days at the beginning of the year until Valentines Day. On this day I know it is gonna be all about me. My girlfriend surprised me last year on Valentines Day. I came home from work she had taken the day off. I walked in my house and seen that she had planed a very intamite evening. Dinner was prepared, rose petals were everywhere. She had a silky cream coconut bath prepared for me with rose petals covering the tub, a bottle of wine with two glasses chilled on ice. She also had a nice piece of lingere laid out for me to put on afterwards. She had a small box sitting on top of the lingere and I was more than anxious to see what it was. It was a Tweetybird bracelet and earrings. I almost fainted because Tweety is my favorite looney tunes character. Well I can't go into any more details but lets say I had a beatiful evening. I had never had anyone do this for me before. It made me feel good to know that my girlfriend cared enough about me to go the extra mile to please me. Words could not explain what I felt that evening. No boyfriend ever made me fell this way on Valentines Day. I know every year that Valentines Day can only get better because I am still with my girlfriend and she just keep pulling tricks out of her bag. Valentines Day can get to be very expensive but if it is for someone you love money should be no object. I feel like men have a problem spending that money on the other person but women seem to be more willing to spend spend spend. Now these are my personal feelings and I am sticking to it. Once again Valentines Day should be with that someone who you know loves you unconditionally and I feel like I have found that.
