It was the summer of 1998, I was 15 years old, and my 16th birthday was approaching fast. My mom, best friend, and I were all headed towards the beach when, what could possibly be the worst thing on Earth happened, my phone went off, it was Drake. Drake could possibly be the cutest guy on Earth! This made me extremely lucky because he was my boyfriend. It's rare for a girl as unpopular as me to date a cute, popular guy, especially one such as Drake. I, Anna, have long silky straight brown hair. My smile is excellent, except for the two tons of metal yanking on my teeth. I'm not the tallest girl around; I am also not the thinnest. I bet you are wondering how this is a bad thing just wait the best (worst) is yet to come. Well anyways when my phone went off Susan, my best friend, ripped the phone from my grip and glanced at the caller ID. When she saw it was Drake calling she handed me the phone while making kissy-faces in the background. I picked up the phone to answer, "Hey Drake sup," I questioned.

"Uh not much," he cautiously relied "we need to talk."

"Sure, bout what, shoot, I am ready," I anxiously said.

"STOP you're making this harder than it needs to be," he warned.

I giggled. "What are you talking about silly goose?" I asked.

"Annabelle just shut up and listen, okay its over!"

"WHAT!" I screamed "Who, what, why, but"

"I've got to go," he answered sadly. The call was ended and I shut the phone. I felt my once full heart ripping and breaking. I could feel every fracture and crevices of my heart, as it started to decease and whither away. The tears fell from my eyes like a waterfall after a flood. And my eyeliner and mascara smeared down my face making me appear as if I were in the band Kiss. My face was red and puffy. Nothing was going to be able to cure the pain that my heart endured.

I felt as if I could die, and thoughts of me dying passed my mind. I thought if I were dead no one would miss me, would they even know that I was gone? I decided to figure out for myself what would happen. I rummaged through my handbag, finding the sharpest pair of scissors in the universe, pulled the two handles to opposite sides causing the blades to come apart to where they were open, blade up. "BAM!" the breaks shriek, the car starts spinning out of control. Our bodies all jolt forward upon impact, sending the scissors flying out of hand on to the floor board. "Is everyone alright?" mom asked as the black '95 ford mustang sped off into the horizon leaving nothing but a trail
