Whenever you go for a reading, you don't want to walk away disappointed.
Although there are never any guarantees about what information you'll hear, or who might come through, there are a few sure-fire ways to get the most out of your experience.
Following the suggestions below will ensure you have a truly satisfying, enjoyable experience.
TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL READING:
First off, let's define the word "successful". In terms of a psychic or intuitive reading, "successful" simply means making a divine connection. Whether your reading ends on a promising note or words you were hoping to hear, does not mean that it was or wasn't successful. Anytime there is a connection made on your behalf, the reading was "successful".
That being said, let's move on to some additional tips.
BEFORE YOUR READING:
Keep an open mind. Do not go into the reading expecting certain information, yes or no answers, or a specific, departed loved one to come through. Although these things do often happen, you have to be prepared - and willing - to accept whatever comes through for you. Trust that if you're receiving it, it was meant to be received for a very good reason.
Do not try to trick' or test' your reader. When you have a malicious agenda, it's very likely that no connection will be made. God and His Heavenly helpers can read you better than ANY psychic can! Divine guidance is available to all of us, but if your only intent is to mock, doubt, or belittle it, you can be pretty sure you're not going to get it. As they say, "like attracts like", and of course the complete opposite is true as well.
Do not feed' your reader. While most people in the spiritual field are genuinely caring, gifted people, some, sadly, are not. There are people who - believe it or not - only want your money. Not only will they eagerly accept whatever information you'll give to them, but they might even probe you to get more. They'll make up stories and tell you what you want to hear. I've even heard of people being told they're cursed, and only the psychic (and a couple hundred bucks) can lift it. Baloney! Not true. If anyone ever tells you that - run! Run away and don't ever look back!
Anyway, these people, though not necessarily gifted in the realms of divine connection, are almost always incredibly creative. They can and will do anything to get your hard earned money.
On the other hand, if your reader is genuine, giving him or her too much information might tend to inhibit the connection process. It's almost the same as when a psychic or medium tries to make a connection for themselves, or someone they're close to. Because we already have so much knowledge about the person and are so close to the situation, it's sometimes hard to tell whether the information coming through is divinely guided, or just a memory or predisposed knowledge. So if you give your
reader too much information to begin with, it's often difficult to process an inspired reading.
DO feel free to ask questions. Different readers have different policies on this some, for example, may ask that you allow them to finish before asking questions (because the information tends to come so quickly and the connection can be broken so easily.) Others will allow you to interrupt with a question if it's necessary for you to do so. Find out beforehand if your reader has any policies or feelings in place
regarding questions. But make sure there WILL be a time for you to ask questions.
It's also a good idea to give the reader a general idea of what you're hoping to get out of the reading. For example, you could tell him or her you're interested in changing your career path, or meeting your "one true love", or that you'd like some information on how to improve your financial situation anything, really. Just be careful not to get too specific, as it could hinder things in the long run.
AFTER YOUR READING:
Don't discount any information you received. If it's not something you were expecting, don't walk away disappointed. Instead, keep the information for review later. You'll likely be surprised to find that references made during your reading will make sense to you in the future. If there were predictions or premonitions made, they won't make any sense right away. They haven't happened yet!
For Mediumship Readings or Spirit Connections... if you're visited by a spirit you don't immediately recognize, don't discount the experience. If possible, share your reading with family and friends and ask for their input. Often times, you'll be amazed to learn that it was your great, great grandfather on your mother's side who came through to offer you advice. You might not know him, but your mother likely will. Thing is, you'll never know for sure if you're too embarrassed to talk about it or do a little research on your own.
There's also the possibility that the stranger coming through simply wants you to pass on a message to someone you know. A coworker, for example, who is having a hard time. Maybe your coworker would never consider going to a psychic, and her cousin in spirit knows this. But her cousin in spirit also know that you will. He knows you can pass on the information that may change your friend's life! Though that doesn't happen very often, it is a possibility. This is why it's important to keep an open mind. Hang on to the information you were given. It was given to you for a very good reason!
Now, keep those thoughts in mind when you go for your reading, and you're sure to get the most out of the entire experience!
