At times in our lives, we all seek reasons for our actions or lifestyle, and moments of inspiration are those moments which keep us motivated. This article is written to help those who are uninspired to find that inspiration, using the premise that outside influence coupled with the manner in which we perceive it are the key to finding inspiration. Knowing where to look for it is only half of the battle. *Taking the road to successful inspiration.

Have you ever read a book or a poem that took your breath away? The startling inspirational work of writers stun us and make us realize what a gift inspiration is. For example, we may read a poem, listen to a speech, or see someone close to us who inspires us. Each of these people has the same tools as you do to achieve inspiration. The difference is that they found and used those tools. Learning to use the tools which every human has to inspire us is a wonderful skill.
To find that skill within ourselves and to be able to use it to inspire others, just as those great people or writers did to you, the need exists to recognize those areas of life which are your own personal strengths. These may be small things. It doesn't take huge leaps to start to recognize your own skills, and to work on these so that the positive elements within your life outweigh the negative.
In each life situation, there are two sides of the story. The idea of working on positives is that it changes the way you see things, and in turn, the side of the fence upon which you stand. You learn to see the cup half full instead of half empty, and in doing so, the inspiration that you gain to better yourself and your place within the world is enhanced. You may never be Shakespeare, though you may gain pleasure from writing poetry. Your poetry is an outlet and is every bit as valid as the work of Shakespeare in that it allows you to capture a moment's creativity, and to learn to describe that in an inspirational way.
