LOVED ONE'S PACT
A simple mistake caused the bridge to fall
cascading into the unknown
The angry forces made the devil's call
how could I have possibly known
A tip once given in the heat of one's temper
is a hurtful and bitter fact
That caused the walls to crumble
ending this loved one's pact
From the inner depths of my mind
I knew how deep my sorrow
For his lack of love and disrespect
would carry me through endless tomorrow's
I prayed for many hours
too many more were spent
Hoping that my loved one
would ask me to forgive his contempt
But instead, he chose another path
one I would of never taken
He chose to continue his con man's deceit
and kept on with his faking
A simple mistake prevented
if only he had known
No time is right to dis' a friend
and leave them in the cold
I hope my story brings justice
to this heartless fairytale
'Cuz it's time to find my happiness
it's time for my dreams to prevail!
