Recognizing early signs of pregnancy
Every woman's body is different in the way it works. There is such a slight difference sometimes, that it's hardly noticeable, but they are there just the same. What one woman may feel, others will not. What one woman looks like, others will look differently. So when it comes to pregnancy, each woman's body will react differently to the invasion of her body. I say invasion meaning a good thing, not a bad thing, because this is something new in the body.
We each have feelings that will lead us to believe that we may be pregnant, from very early on in the pregnancy. We may feel a little queasy or light headed, when we get up in the mornings. The hormone changes in the body are one of the earliest symptoms you may acknowledge. You get up in the morning, but you don't feel quite like yourself. There is a tenderness that you have not noticed before. The tenderness in your breast comes when your body is changing to accommodate the new arrival in your body.
When you go to bed, are you completely exhausted? When you wake up in the morning, are you still tired? Do you feel like you can lie down in the afternoon, and have a sleep, when you never did before? Do you go through your days feeling rotten for no reason? These questions are all first indications that you may be pregnant; so don't let these symptoms pass you by unnoticed, have them checked out right away, even if you are taking precautions against pregnancy.
When you go to the washroom, do you notice a slightly different smell to your urine? Does the taste, look, and smell of your favorite food, all of a sudden have you holding your hand over your mouth, and nose, and heading to the washroom to vomit? Have you noticed that your food tastes different than it used to? Your taste buds change when you are pregnant for some reason, I could never really figure that one out, but it does.
When was your last period? For women with regular menstrual periods, being even a few days late may indicate that there is a change in your body. If you are someone whom has irregular menstrual periods, missing about thirty, or thirty five days in a row, may also indicate you are pregnant.
Are you more sensitive to your feelings? Do you get upset over nothing? Is you temper short, and you all of a sudden start snapping at everyone around you, for no apparent reason? Are you on an emotional roller coaster, but don't understand why? Again, all signs that you may be pregnant.
These are some of the questions you should ask yourself when you start to feel lousy all of a sudden. Not every woman goes through all of these symptoms; not all women even experience some of these symptoms; some of the really lucky ones, don't even get any of these symptoms, and I do emphasize "really lucky." Remember, every woman reacts differently to pregnancy. Each of us will get our own set of symptoms when we become pregnant; and remember, no two pregnancies are alike, no matter how many children you have.
If you wake up one morning and feel under the weather, and it lasts for a couple of days, as if you have the flu, but you don't have all the symptoms of the flu, ask yourself some of these questions, you may be surprised at the answers. You may just have something to celebrate.
