The hardest part of any selling job is getting customers to buy the product. Cold calling and going to door to door are ineffective means of getting the word out. They are a waste of time and money with little or no results. Getting customers to come to you will produce better results and more sales. The internet is a powerful tool in drawing customers to you.
* Free Samples
One of the best way to draw customers to your product is giving away free samples. Customers are always looking for free items. They love the idea of getting something for free. The draw of the free sample will bring them to your website in droves.
The drawbacks to this is the cost it takes to produce the free samples. Shipping costs also need to be taken into account. It may not be worth shipping the product overseas or across country.
* Free Forums
Advertising on free forums is a great way to reduce advertising costs and get the word out about your product. Better yet, with a little investigation you can reach your target customers with no monetary effort. The biggest investment is of this is the time spent on research on finding the forums.
Always check out the forum rules. Don't post links where are they are not allowed. Devise a catchy phrase to attract potential viewers. Making smart intelligent comments will draw more viewers. Stay away from the controversial posts no matter how badly you want to say something. Pushy sales tactics or defensive statements put people off. The object is to get them to view your website.
* Search Ads
Most potential customers do not want to waste time searching for a product. Looking through pages and pages of search results is frustrating. Search ads keep your company at the top. This makes it easier for the customer to find you. Keeping your company name at the top of search pages is important for drawing in more customers.
The drawback is money must be spent on these ads. It can be tough to keep your company at the top of the search engines, especially if competition is fierce.
* Social Networking
This is probably the most powerful tool in the internet arsenal. Millions flock to these web sites. Social networking is extremely popular. Check out the rules before signing up. Humor is a great way to draw viewers. Stay away from long boring explanations.
The drawback is the chance of getting lost in the crowd. Thousands of new videos are posted every day. So staying on top of the networking game is essential.
There are many ways to use the internet to promote your business. Some at little or no cost to you. With more and more people staying at home because of high costs, this is the best way to reach potential customers. Spend that time and money on advertising that really works.
