Connecting to the world in silent deadly air
What can I say feeling full of despair
Mountains rise over hilltops; the moon glares so bright
Who am I standing here, on a cold, dark, winter night
Fame and fortune barrel down in front of me
As I stand on the shoreline staring at the sea
Folded hands uplifted and tears pounding against the sand
I would give a million lives just for one touch of your hand
You've been gone a long time, left me standing tall
But I feel like tonight; I'm about to break and fall
Looking up to find you; I see no one around
I can hear the ocean and that's the only sound
You may be with Jesus but, I'm here all alone
Waiting on the slightest touch or whisper on the phone
How could you leave me; I've needed you everyday
The Lord took you home; what else can I say
I can't find rest in knowing your gone away
All I can do now is wait, for my day
To see you shining brightly in Gods image and shape
Until I meet my maker; this feeling will not escape
When I see you in person and know that your okay
I will be at peace; finally on that day
There will be much laughter and alot of catching up to do
I will be at rest knowing I'm finally next to you

Poetry: Scars
I want to kiss the scars on Jesus' feet,
Those scars show us the most blessed event in all of human history,
They are
I see the cuts
that I once made,
on the arm where
the razor once laid.
I see the pain
that once ached,
in the heart with
love once
There are marks upon my skin,
Pale reminders of days gone by.
The bleeding was staunched long ago,
But to claim they no longer
The scars I bear and the pain I feel
Are a constant reminder of the price I paid
The price I paid for loving you
I always

I'm sorry for the things I might have done
For all of the awards I haven't won
I'm sorry for the chances I let by
