SUMMERTIME BLUES
Stupid school!
"U" just had to ruin my nearly perfect summer!
My family was going to Aunt Treecy's house, but NO! school had to start.
Mondays I have to get up, still groggy from my weekend of sleep.
Everyone talks about their great summer, oh why summer? Why'd u have to leave me?
Reasons to live? Summer! What else is there (besides boys der)?
Times for fun and care freeness are gone.
In months to come you will be waiting for me your arms wide to greet me.
My summer, dear summer, please never leave me for good.
Everyday is a year closer to you and yet another one away from you.
But you will come again, I know you will.
Lucky me! I'll have another summer to flirt and hang with friends everywhere!
Underneath my school act I dream and wait till I hear the last bell of the year,
Everyone will be flooding out excited to have a chance to begin again.
Summer will be here again.
