I definately have to believe that the presidential debates are going to have a dramatic affect on who wins the election and will be the next leader of this country we live in.
I don't need to tell anyone that the country's economy is in its worst shape since the great depression. The American people want to know how we're going to survive this and who's going to lead us there. Each and every word that's spoken by these two candidates, and their running mates, is going to be listened to, very carefully. The debates are going to have a major affect on what the American people think about each candidates view on the issues that are facing our nation.
The majority of the American people aren't voting for a Democrat or a Republican, I don't think. They're voting for the individual, no matter what party they represent. They want to know who can best get things rolling again, and get us out of this mess we're in.
I don't know exactly what the topics of the debates will be, but I'm sure they will touch on the whole state of affairs of this country.
Everytime either of these candidates speaks, it seems the polls go one way or the other. After the Republican convention, the polls went way up in their favor. The famous Sara Palin rocked the political world. This past week though, the honeymoon looks like it could be over.
The polls now seem to be even or have a slight edge toward the Democrats. These polls are determined by the American public. They listen and watch each and every move these candidates make.
This is a media driven campaign, as all campaigns usually are. The media has a greater influence on the candidates popularity then anything else out there. The media is everywhere. The Internet, television, radio, and the newspaper are all forms of media. People depend on this to get information. The debates are going to be carried via these media outlets. It would be impossible to say that winning the debates won't affect the election outcome, with all the media attention given to them.
A lot of people, according to the polls, and listening and watching the different media outlets, haven't made up their mind yet who they're going to vote for. I think this year that
is more evident then ever before, because so much is riding on the election results.
Everything from the economy to one's personal rights will be affected by who are next
President of the United States will be. The next month, with all its debating, is definately going to influence the election outcome.
