There are three movies that come to mind when thinking upon the greatest best friend movies of all time. Each has style, grace and connects us to other individuals in our lives by pulling the strings of our hearts. When we watch one of these movies it makes us appreciate our best friend flaws and all.

Beaches is one of the best movies ever made about friendship, survival and love. Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey are the friends in this movie that make us fall in love with our personal friendships over and over again. They travel towards each other, drift apart and then come back to one another.

In the movie Beaches, we get to see how a best friend handles everything from love to betrayal. Then we get to see two friends battle a rare disease, while a little girl watches as her mother slowly dies. The tragedy intertwined with the beauty of friendship make this one of the most divine best friend movies ever made.

Next on the list is the movie My Girl. This movie had several well known actors including Dan Aykroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis but also new stars of the big screen McCauley Culkin and Anna Chlumsky. My Girl is a story about the friendship between a boy and a girl. It is a wonderfully moving story about how, even at a young age, we can be touched by death.

Although the film has a terrible tragedy in it, it also has humor, wit, courage and beauty. This movie is a great movie to watch with your best friend no matter how old you are. My girl is a sweet tender story that everyone should see especially best friends.

The last movie that comes to mind is an incredible best friend movie but it is also a love story. The Notebook which is also a book by Nicholas Sparks is perfect for best friends. Both the movie and the book were absolutely brilliant. This movie proves that lovers can be the best of friends even in the toughest times.

There were many talented actors and actresses who had roles in The Notebook. Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, Gena Rowlands and James Garner make this tale weave around us a story of love and friendship so strong that you can feel it reverberate through the movie. It is a beautiful tale that should be shared with your best friend or lover.

Each movie is great for reviving that feeling of friendship. Be warned, each movie should be accompanied by a box of tissues. Each plot will tug at your heartstrings and make your eyes wet with tears of love, joy and sadness.
