Using Bisquick may seem like cheating when it comes to baking, but all it is mainly a combination of dry ingredients that are ready to add the liquid ingredients and embellishments. Bisquick is the place to go when looking for a quick homemade quick bread recipe.
This is a simple Bisquick Apple Coffee Cake that is simple to make but tastes like it is completely homemade.
Apple Coffee Cake
2 cups Bisquick
1 cup sugar
1/ cup melted butter
1 egg + milk to make one cup
Mix all of these ingredients together.
Pour in a 13 x 9 pan.
Pour 1 can apple pie filling over the dough.
Mix together
1 cup of flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Sprinkle the topping mix over the top of the apple pie filling.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
This recipe is great for a quick brunch recipe. It can be made in minutes, placed in the oven and when guests arrive it is ready to serve.
