Quietly, she watched him sleep
A hand tossed behind his head
A smile on his lips
Quiet, content
Carefully, she leant over him
Brushed her lips gently over his
A soft whisper of night's greetings
She breathed
Contented, she watched him sleep
Love doesn't have to be in motion all the time

Sleep is my most humble domain
without it, I think I would go insane
Sifting through my troubles and my woes
resting peacefully,

SLEEP
I saw a picture in a book once
A painting entitled quite simply:"Sleep."
Two women, naked on a bed, covers tossed aside,
Slumbering
by S Barnard
Tiptoe
One final peep
Gentle kiss
On the cheek
Silence
My bundle of love
Fast asleep
Once in bed
Nothing said
On my pillow
Slumber
I plea to you, my faithful friend:
Come down now and be with me,
Play with my senses and wrap my body,
Filling my thoughts
Sleep my darling Mother
for we know you'll soon depart
May your slumber be a blissful one
may comfort fill your heart.
Sleep
