The sounds of thunder rumbling in the distance, getting closer growing louder, and your glad you didn't miss it.
You can't really go out but then again you don't care, you sit on your furniture and out the window you stare.
You sit there smiling count the seconds in between, waiting for the next lightning crash to light up the scene.
But oh how things change when it's just cloudy cold and gray, you feel nothing can go right on a day like today. You curl up on your couch and try to wish it away.
You glance out the window it's darker each time, and your mood seems to follow your saddened inside.
The trees cast no shadows as they move with the wind, and the colors all darkened all dreary they blend.
Press your face to the window a small chill up your spine. Stare at the lonely birch tree alone by the pines.
Some how more sadness accompanies this view, instead of the beauty of a tree covered in dew.
You watch the leaves on the ground one by one blow away, like tears on your cheeks that dry up on your face.
You pull the blanket on you tighter and walk back to the couch, watching your feet with you head to the ground.
You sit back on the couch wishful thinking in play, hoping it would simply go ahead and rain.

A View From Within
A view from the room
through a boarded window pane.
The open highway beckons an
adventurous mind, poised
I'm lying on a patch of grass
that over looks the bay,
and water looks like a sheet of glass,
it made me feel like i could
