Poetry: Society's ignorance

by Sarah Harrison

Created on: September 21, 2008

An Angel

All dressed in white
white hair wild
an angel in a wheelchair.
Tucked away
protruding slightly
at the side of Flinders concourse.
Quietly she sits
spectatoring her spectators,
who glance
then stare wide the other way.

Why does no one do anything?
Why does no one care?
Putting my ticket through
walking on with my way.
