Poetry: Suicidal thoughts

Cut Holes

Pressure punctures, constant failing
I scrabble each time to please
to receive a real smile
I'm willing her to want me.

I scrabble each time to please
over tearful midnight wires
I'm willing her to want me

Over tearful midnight wires
the first cut free-falls
exhausting outside-in
I long just once to leave.

The first cut free-falls
pressure punctures, constant failing
I long just once to leave
to receive a real smile.
