I get the greatest inspiration from seeing people who came from nothing or next-to-nothing and managed to rise above it to make a name for themselves. When you can overcome the hardships in your life, and make your way to the top, I find that one of the most admirable traits a person could exhibit. It shows that not only are you dedicated, but you are a hard worker, you know what you want in life and aren't afraid to go for it. Too many people let their dreams fall by the wayside these days. Of course there is always an excuse for it, the most common one being, "life happened". I agree that sometimes things do happen, but if we were truly committed to making our dreams come true, they would be the top priority in our lives and we would stop at nothing to achieve them. Instead we put them on the "someday" list and we try reviving them once in a while as New Year's Resolutions, eventually they get lost altogether.
Someone who came from the poorest, most desolate neighborhood, with drugs and crime, but who rose above it all to become one of the most enthusiastic people motivators you ever saw...that would be a good example of someone who would be MAJOR inspiration to me. Any situation like that, where the underdog becomes the wonder-dog :)
