Ode to the Poet

To the Poet the pen is as the voice to a singer,
And Parchment is as the canvas to a painter,
The spoken word floats over the tongue like the
clouds that loft in the heavens above.

Love, sorrow, pity, and pain are intricately woven in ethereal verse; telling the story of tender hearts that swell with want of love and dreams.

Dreams fade as anguish sets, anguish slowly acquiesces into pity, and pity is no more than guilt filled with the pain of helplessness.

The Poet is the dreamer of dreams set in words. His words speak to the soul of mankind, giving reflection to that which defies explanation.

And so the Poet becomes the scribe of life! For without his pros, we would loose our connection to our past. And the past is the window to our future.

So I beg that you gaze through that window often and glimpse into a future filled with dreams and virgin hopes with a clear conscience. Ode to the Poet!
