A Synthesis of Dreams, History and Invisible Aesthetic Beauty Inspired By Revolution
A beautiful black semi-automatic they give you to defend your rights
And in your favourite frayed leather jacket you whisper through the cold dark night
You march up to the frontline and with a sacred hate you begin to fire relentlessly
And I know you're not doing it for fun and I know you just want to be free
The political police return fire and you can feel the rage within the wind
The soldiers you thought were allies get ready for the war to begin
The world forgot those long nights in a blaze
And we stand again amidst the flames
Yet as the fiery night licks at your tears
You become a hero with newfound fears
And as all of time flies away into the night
The darkness conceals you from sight
And you run through the streets scared yet angry and all the exhilaration kills
Your belief that the freedom you need can be found strengthens your untameable will
People begin to shower you with their fear entwined with ghostly screams you feel their pain
Firing indiscriminately into the crowd it's hard to fight in a situation that's so perversely insane
Yet the knowledge that today's sacrifice will strengthen tomorrows youth spurs you on
And right now you don't care that you're killing people only for defending what's wrong
