In celebration of bizarre or confusing song lyrics, I have selected an excerpt from a tune I feel contains some of the weirdest song lyrics of all time. Weird lyrics come in many forms some are dark and disturbing others make no sense and others still, whether you understand their meaning or not, send you into a surge of laughter that lasts for five minutes and brings tears to your eyes. And I could write a book about all of the strange songs I've heard.

But for this particular article I have decided to focus on a particular weird song that is not only pretty funny but is quite baffling in its meaning and the songwriter's motivation for inserting it at all in this song. It's bizarre, confusing and extremely hilarious alike.

Comments: If you look up the rest of the lyrics (or scroll down to the bottom of this article to see where I have placed them) you will notice that the allusion to this apparently abhorrent lie he has hanging over his head is thrown in the middle of the song to make for a catchy chorus but there is absolutely no other lyric that explain or relate to the topic.

This lie of which obviously makes him feel guilty enough to write a song about it when it probably happened 5 or more years ago as a teenager comes into the song out of nowhere. And to top it off for even a greater chuckle at the obscurity of his lyrics, he so cheerily, after inquiring about this raining on him situation, asks or rather offers, the suggestion that perhaps this bad luck with rain is because he lied when he was seventeen.

I find this thoroughly amusing. Who remembers a lie from many years ago and obsesses over it so much that not only do they put it as the chorus to an unrelated song but it made such an impact on this liar that he or she appears to seriously consider the lie as a realistic cause for the consequence he now knows as some persistent situation with the rain.
