Hellfire is believed by both the catholic and the protestant Christians as a place of torment prepared by God for sinners.
But the Jehovah witnesses do not share in this belief.
Several times the bible made mention of a place of ever burning fire among them is in Matthew 25vs31-41, Jesus gave an illustration of his second coming using sheep and goat, he classified the sheep as righteous people and was made to go on to his right hand side, then the goat was un righteous people and was made to go on his left hand side.
In verses 41 the bible says "then he will say in turn to those on his left, be on your way from me you who have been cursed into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil". Also in Matthew 13vs37-42, where Jesus gave a parable of the weed. Where a man sowed fine seeds in his field, while men were sleeping, his enemies came and over sowed weeds in among the wheat and left. And when the blade sprouts and produced fruit, then the weeds appeared also. So the slaves of the householder came up and said to him, master, did you not sow fine seed in your field? How then does it come to have weeds? He said to them an enemy, a man did this they said to him, do you want us then to go out and collect them? He said, no that by no chance, while collecting the weeds, you uproot the wheat with them. Then the master said, let both grow together until the harvest season I will tell the reapers first collect the weeds, and bind them in boundless to burn them up, then go to the gathering the wheat in store house. Jesus explained the parable in Matthew 13vs37-43, saying the sower of the fine seed is the son of man; the field is the world, as for the fine seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; but the weeds are the sons of the wicked one, and the enemy that sowed them is the devil. The harvest is a conclusion of a system of things, and the reapers are angels therefore just as the weeds are collected and burned with fire, so it will be in the conclusion of the system of things. The son of man will send forth his angels and they will collect out from his kingdom all things that cause stumbling and persons who are doing lawlessness, and they will pitched them into the fiery furnace. There is where their weeping an the gnashing o their teeth will be. What we have read form the bible so far explained itself, that there is a fiery furnace where lawless people will go, where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Which the catholic and the protestant call hellfire.
