Can I stand alone in a time full of strife
I look around and tremble at life
Some have it made for a while
Others faint with fear as they stand trial
Tears way heavy as they fall down
I beg for mercy and hear no sound
Falling to my knees; I pray sincere
God please help me, I can't take this fear
Landing on my face; I feel someone tap
Far in the distance; I hear thousands clap
I lifted my head as I heard a voice
God said girl; you got a choice
He said, if it wasn't for the thorn I placed in your side
You wouldn't be on your knees but, overflowing with pride
I called you for a reason; yet its not easy to be
Living in the flesh and serving me
Get in the Spirit and pray earnestly
Then life's daily fears will begin to flee
If it wasn't for the thorn I placed in your flesh; you would have no cause to plea
You would have it made but, no need for me
