Poetry: Rest in peace

by JT Till

Created on: September 19, 2008   Last Updated: January 03, 2009

Oh brave and innocent youths when asked,

Your spirits came to play,

And even though the task was hard,
You answered it that day.

The lonely days and endless nights,

Wreaked havoc on your soul,

Yet come what may the job was done,

But your body paid the toll.

We honor you now, your debt was paid,

So wars would surely cease,

I pray to God that day has come,
May your spirit rest in peace.
