CHRIST IS PRECIOUS
For those of us who have experienced the grace and love of God pertaining to our salvation and transformation from the pits of sin and degradation, we have come to realize that we have received a gift from God that can not be measured in terms of silver or gold or precious jewels; but is priceless beyond measure.
No other gift that anyone could ever receive can come close to the gift that God gave to mankind when he gave his only begotten son to suffer, bleed, and die for our sins so that we could be forgiven, reconciled, and justified with God the Father.
We may not be wealthy in material things according to the world's standard, but if we have been redeemed by Christ, and have a day by day walk and relationship with him, we have the very best that God could give, for he is the fairest among ten thousand "My beloved is white and ruddy, the chiefest among ten thousands" Song of Solomon 5: 10.
The Lord Jesus Christ is very precious in the sight of God the Father. He is the very best that God had to give, a jewel beyond compare. "Again the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: who when he hath found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it." Math 13: 45,46.
Christ is priceless to believers. Many martyrs down through the ages have realized the preciousness of Christ, and have been willing to sacrifice their own lives under some of the most horrible circumstances, knowing within themselves that that which they were about to lose at the burning stake or the gallows, could never be more precious to them than that which they had to gain. The apostle Paul proclaimed when he was about to be executed and lose his head: "Yea, doubtless and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the
