Give me that secret smile,
the one when your eyes
begin the grin
and the warmth of your love
could turn to strong heat,
at any moment.
Let me know later,
after the kids are in bed,
you'll hold me gently
and the kiss you give
will turn the edges
of the room to liquid.
Give me that secret smile,
the one that's reserved
for our private club.
It's the password
to shutting out
the rest of the world.
While I clear the table
and feed the cats,
catch my glazed-over glance,
the one where I can't see
anyone but you.
Give me that secret smile,
the one that turns the day
around and makes me know
you and I were meant to be.
Lead me softly,
to a place where no one
can see us.
Take my hand, shut the door
and give me your secret smile.

Poetry: Smiles

Your Smile
Your smile belongs in a museum
So that other people can
Be rendered speechless by its
Simplicist beauty.
I've studied
Just a little wink
You wouldn't think
It could mean so much
When you reach out and touch
A little gesture
Like holding
by Jessie D
I gaze across a crowded room,
he smiles at me.
Our eyes meet,
we connect magically.
Not sure what I should do,
I smile back
Exchanging Smiles.
They say a smile
is contagious -
I believe it is true.
'Cause today you
sent a smile my
way
by Rick Ellis
When She Smiles
When She Smiles
The world turns a little slower
Sometimes it even seems to stand still
She makes me happy
