All along the castle keep, he doth silently creep,
Revenge, he's after, and it hits so deep.
Thoughts haunt him, chill his soul,
Of a full moon night, not so long ago.
His thoughts drift back in time,
The pages turning in his mind.
His lady love, with long black hair,
So many dreams they had to share.
He was not fit enough for her,
This her father, had concurred.
They came in the night, he awoke on a ship,
Bound and gagged, for most of the trip.
Stripes and scars, marred his back,
from the cat o nine tails, that attacked.
Thirst and hunger, days on end,
And he swore, he would get revenge.
His lady love, how did she fare?
Did she still feel for him, did she still care?
The thoughts of her, had kept him alive,
She had helped him, to survive.
Silently, he climbed upon the wall,
Steadily, so as not to fall.
He cautiously crept up the stairs,
Watching, not to be caught unaware.
Into her room, he crept, and there, she peacefully slept.
He covered her mouth, with his Hand,
for her silence, he had to command.
Fear? Was that what he saw in her eyes? Had her love for him died?
His appearance, had dramatically changed,
it was him, but he was no longer the same.
Then, she knew who he was,and her eyes filled with tears, as she rejoiced.
Why did you leave me Her silent plea?
The time was not right, for right or wrongs,
He was here to take her from her home.
Revenge forgotten, as he looked in her eyes,
For she still loved him, that emotion, she couldn't disguise.
Willingly, she left with her love,
as they approached the bottom of the stairs, a noise from above.
Her father, stood, gun in hand, ready to shoot her love, her man.
The trigger was pulled, shattering explosion followed.
His love would never see another tomorrow.
She took the bullet meant for him,
Blood from her chest, eyes growing dim.
He knelt slowly by her side,
and looked into her Pain filled eyes.
He silently asked, why, my love, why?
Because I love you, then she died.
The father stared in total horror,
for his daughter wouldn't be there on the morrow.
Tears from his cheeks, as lanterns were lit, in the castle keep.
Servants scattered here and there,
for such a tragedy they were unprepared.
Her love still knelt by her side,
and a stream of tears, he cried.
Revenge is a two edged sword, for love, has its on rewards.

Letting go was not for me,
wrongs or rights endlessly.
Every wrong righted with glee,
that was who I was the righteous me.

For a certain person in my life.
Every time I sell a story-
I thank you.
Each award I win,
I owe it to you.
Each accolade,
you
