"Nothin' Better To Do" is a track taken from Leann Rimes twelfth studio album "Family". The album was released in October 2007 and consists of a grand total of twelve tracks. "Nothin' Better To Do" is the album's first single and I have to say that I'm very impressed with what I've heard from Leann Rimes here. I've never been a massive fan of Leann Rimes; I do however feel that "Nothin' Better To Do" is one of the best tracks that the artist has ever written. It's a great upbeat country track, a lot of fun to listen to and very energetic and uplifting in its flow.

If you're not strictly a fan of country music then fear not; this is not just a straight up country track, it possesses country elements but also is incredibly catchy and comes complete with great pop appeal and a fine rock edge also. I'm not saying the music is edgy as such, it definitely has a rock tint however and this is something that therefore makes the music all the more exciting to listen to.

The track builds well, the music moves strongly, and all the while here the fine voice of Leann Rimes is flowing from your speakers at full pelt. There's just no denying that Leann Rimes has a brilliant voice; even if you're not a fan of her work, you have to admire her for her fine vocal style. Rimes has a terrific vocal range, a range which is here showcased perfectly and always the track is incredibly interesting to listen to. There's a great guitar presence in the music; it is this that gives the track its rock vibe, and complete with the fine voice of Leann Rimes there's never a dull moment provided here.

The track possesses a strong structure, the chorus works well and the verse also is absolutely excellent to listen to. The lyrics are sung from the heart, the track feels very personal and poignant and always this is fantastic to hear. Leann Rimes gives the track her all and you can really tell that she means the words that she is singing out so strongly here; the instrumental side of things does a good job too, it's Leann Rimes vocal passion that really steals the show here however and always there is great power and depth to her hugely striking voice.

There's a great rhythm about the music here, it's a terrific track to dance to but also great to sing along to at the same time. It's uplifting to the spirit, as you listen to the track you can feel your worries leave you as you chill out to the music and take in the exquisite vibes of Leann Rimes.
