Deep within
I call my bluff
Against this savage I must win
Even if I have to play rough
Deep within another man lurks
Terrible creature who wants all the perks
This battle I fight deep inside
Against a villain who knows my every move
My every bone every groove
To win in myself I must confide
Lash my pride
Dent my ego
My attitude fried
Come out a new man and show
Deep within me there was a war
My enemy hid well
I searched opened every door
I found him sick unwell
Mad raging with neglect
No more for me will he ever reflect
To him i did confess
I never loved him any less
Within me I found
Sometimes everyone has to come around

Poetry: Deep within
Deepness dipped deeply within me again so deeply today, & yet for me to see.
Happiness in its mysterious darkened deepness
At one time she was all together,
Safely tucked inside.
She felt like she could live forever
If she only tried.
Other petals
by Tracy Brooks
Deep within me lies a girl
longing to roam free.
Beneath the layers
hides her laughter,
Under the surface
is her depth.
by Adam Smith
Deep within me
There is a part of you
I have remembered it for so long
And it has seen me through
It makes me happy
When
How promising the vision
When my eyes are turned within.
A ray of beauty fills the scene
Where despair had always been.
