If you have an interest in astrology, did you know that you can have a career in this field? Such a career is not limited to those who only have advanced degrees because you can obtain training both online and off in this field. You can even take free training that will lead to certification in the field of astrology. You can start off working in this area as a hobby or part-time, such as in the evening on or weekends. You don't need to invest in office space because you can actually run the business out of your home. Renting a table at a flea market is very inexpensive and is a great way to get recognized as an astrologer. Clients may start coming to you as a joke at first, but if you take the job seriously, you will soon develop a clientele that will refer their friends and family members to you.

You can work online in an astrology career. You do need a website so that you can answer client's questions and it will take time to get started with so many websites of a similar nature online. You have to approach this type of career in a businesslike manner. Do your research on astrologers in your city to determine how much competition you will have. You should also research the amount of money that people in this career field make per year and this will help you determine your fee structure. You shouldn't sit home all day waiting for clients. You have to set office hours and allow yourself some free time.

If you want to start a career in astrology, the first thing you should do is consult your own astrology charts to see what is in your future. If you hope to help others in this manner, you should also be able to help yourself.

When you set up your office, you should never have incense burning. This is because many people are allergic to incense and it does affect the eyes. You have to be seen as being a professional at what you do. Always greet your clients and set a relaxing atmosphere. Many people who do consult with astrologers are nervous the first time because they do not know what you expect. You should put them at ease and discuss their lives so that you do get a sense of their emotional state.

It is hard to break into the world of astrology as a career because there are so many non-believers. When you are truthful with your clients about what they can expect, you will start making a name for yourself, which will lead to repeat customers. Dress professionally so as to cast aside the notion that all who do work in this field wear necklaces of zodiac signs and gaze into crystal balls.
