Five years, three campaigns, an expansion and a set of bonus missions down the line, Guild Wars is still attracting new players. There is an official (http://wiki.guildwars.com) and an unofficial wiki (http://guildwars.wikia.com) with a wealth of information on the game, and yet players still have questions. Mostly, they're looking for advice; the wikis limit themselves to facts. Here are some answers to questions most commonly asked in chat.
• Which campaign should I buy next?
The different campaigns and the expansion pack all have their own particular flavours and benefits.
Prophecies, the first campaign, is good for acquiring skills. Most of the quests early in the game have skill rewards, and even the secondary profession changes are quest-based. This means you need less cash to buy skills, or new professions, which is good, as the only way to get cash in this campaign is to kill monsters, steal their stuff, and sell it. It's also possible to gain access to outposts without following the storyline too closely.
Factions is good for levelling up fast. With an organised approach, you can go from creation to level 20 in under six hours. It has two unique character classes, the Assassin and the Ritualist, as well as the core six from Prophecies. You need to mostly buy skills here and the quest rewards include cash so that you can do so. The beginner quests will equip you only with basic skills. The name comes from the two main Factions in the storyline, Kurzick vs Luxon. The storyline, and map you work in, splits in the middle game depending on which Faction you choose. You can always go back and do the other storyline later, which you will probably want to do: the only way to access outposts is to do the quests that get you there. Factions also introduces Alliance Battles as another gameplay option.
Nightfall gives you heroes throughout the storyline. These are NPCs that can join your party, but you have total control over them. Build their skill bars well, give them good weapons, rune up their armour properly, and they will be more effective than the hired henchmen standing around any Guild Wars Campaign outpost. You can have three heroes in your party at any one time, and you can command each one individually if the need arises. You can also micromanage their skills if need be. Nightfall is also good for money. The quest rewards can be more generous, there are hidden treasures that require no keys to unlock them dotted throughout the game, and you
