IN THE NAME OF PEACE
September 21... The International Day of Peace means a Peace Warrior's Cry, to me. It means having (to date 2008,) shed tears of blood, when working through the process towards Peace on a Global Scale, as a Planet, while others still eat, drink and be merry. It means giving up everything. Your life in short - in the living sense - beginning with an awareness from a child, for the reason you are here on earth, for Peace. From leaving your mother, father and siblings, to further Peace. From denying what you would have chosen as a career for yourself, devoting your time instead, to Peace.
From going without many choices as to where you are sent, or go to work, or live, while working, for Peace. From never giving up, no matter how hard the task you are called upon to carry out, for the sake of Peace. From leaving your husband and children because - what you do for your own you do for all and it is not fair that they should live, as you sometimes have to, when working for Peace. From 'crossing the line' in mine fields of ridicule and interrogation, because it is right, for the sake of Peace. From sticking your head into the barrel of a gun to prevent more harm, for the sake of Peace.
From walking a road where even angels fear to tread, for the sake, of Peace. These are but a few of the 'never turning back from the goal you began', in the Name of Peace examples, of a Peace Warrior's Cry. It is speaking, working, keeping report, living, breathing, and never dying... for Peace. It is walking in the sewers of the human mind, to bring Peace. And when all the dirty work is done, the tears still flow, but with overflowing joy as you see just some of the fruits of your labors coming true, on a grander scale that you could only have only dared, to dream.
It's watching your own overwhelming tears spill like healing rain over the oppressed, where once your tears of blood and sweat fell with theirs, and now fall like a cleansing rain. While they return to comfort even the soul, of a Peace Warrior's Cry. It's watching the miracles of possibilities once seemingly impossible come true before your very eyes, where once you were taunted for daring to try, for the sake of Peace. It's seeing smiles where once they too were a reason for your own tears, and now you laugh and cry together, because of Peace.
It's hearing music with a new melody, where only once it was 'just another anthem' of any land, now singing in voices joined as one, in the Spirit of Peace. It is
