The Lord Jesus Christ said in John 10:10 "The thief comes not but to steal and to kill and to destroy; I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly." Jesus Christ came to earth on a mission. That mission was to give life with abundance to all who believe in Him. John 1:11-12 declares "He came unto His own and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believed on His name." Jesus wants all those who trust in Him to have life, and to have it with abundance.

What is the Abundant Life? I would suggest that the abundant life is a number of things:
1. The Abundant Life is a Confident Life. We can have confidence in Jesus Christ for two reasons:
(a). Because of who we are - Believers are Children of God. Jesus lives in us and we are being prepared to be with Him forever and ever. 1 John 3:2 declares "Beloved, now we are the sons of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when He shall appear we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." 1 John 4: 7 says "Beloved, let us love one another for love is of God and everyone that loves is born of God and knows God." Revelation 1:5 says "And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of earth, Unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood." In Jesus Christ we are saved-forgiven-cleansed and set free. Because of who we are in Jesus Christ we can live an abundant confident life.
(b). Because of Whose we are. We are Children of the King. Because He lives in us and we are His we have confidence in Him and can live the abundant life. In Isaiah 43 the Lord sets out three claims too us:
1. The right of creation - Isaiah 43:7 says "Even everyone that is called by My name, for I have created him, for My glory, I have formed him; yes I have made him."

2. The right of Divine Presence: - Isaiah 43:2 says " When you pass through the waters I will be with you and through the rivers , they shall not overflow you; when you walk through the fire you shall not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon you." Because the Lord chooses to be present with us we can live the confident abundant life.
3. The right of Redemption. Isaiah 43:1 says "But now says the Lord that created you O Jacob and He that formed Thee O Israel, Fear Not; for I have redeemed you, I have called you by your name, you are mine" Because we
