At no time should any consumer be subjected to slow internet. Then again almost all internet connections are classed as fast broadband connection, but finding the perfect broadband service for you is like finding a needle in a haystack.
This is because there are many types of fast internet connections on offer by many providers. Almost any provider will tell you that their service is better and more unique than others, such as a politician would introducing a bill to parliament, but in all honesty there are many different types of "solutions" to suit every user.
So what choices do I have?
There are the home connections which can include cable, ADSL/2/X both direct or providing Wi-Fi for all your home roaming needs. There are also various roaming services such as Wi-Fi however being broadcasted over a much wider area. Then there is also dial-up services, however this is not recommended as a optimal choice for "speed", however if your only looking to spend a few dollars a month then by all means, but I warn you that you will wait 1 month per page to load.
So what does all this mean?
Basically, if you have cable television then it would usually indicate you are eligible for cable internet either to one computer or on a wireless network. If you do not have cable television and wish to use cable style internet then your provider will be more than happy to assist your inquiry. Cable internet in most cases was usually faster than ADSL, although due to many advances in ADSL technology the speed is now equal if not faster to cable.
So what is ADSL?
ADSL is a broadband connection that can be wireless or direct to one computer that requires no cable laying or technical work, just a telephone connection! But wait a second, isn't that similar to dial-up? Yes, No, Maybe? Well it doesn't matter, because with an ADSL connection you can get lightning speed from your basic phone line at home, once you sign a plan or package your provider will open your connection from the nearest exchange, you wouldn't even know its happened which is the most brilliant part.
Hold on, before you run out and buy an ADSL connection! The best thing to do is to compare prices and plans, most main stream providers will give you excellent service but you must pay a little more, others will charge you less, however will take you 3 hours to speak to someone in India.
As far as the best form of internet, it really does not matter anymore, only to some of the population who find any technology advance sceptical as such and would find fault in everything made.
