"Mama, it's Time for You to Sing"
God plucked a flower from the earth
Its beauty hushed with passing time,
Fading her smiles and laughter
To obscure dreams that visit the night.
A restless soul longs to hear,
Familiar sounds that pierced the dark,
But only echoes of what used to be,
Ring deep within her heart.
And in the wind you can hear them
The rustle of angel wings,
As they bear her words from heaven,
"Mama, it's time for you to sing."
Shadows dance across the memories
To the music of passing time,
Erasing the sting of departed love
Comforting those left behind.
A single tear slips from eyes that slumber
Tenderly resting upon a cheek,
Dried by soft breezes from the window
As they caress with gentle peace.
Or was it her kiss borne that night
On sacred angel wings,
Whispering her words from heaven,
"Mama, it's time for you to sing.
Please Mama . . . I want to hear you sing."

I looked into your eyes and saw love from
