Need I lengthen the list to enable you to understand why so many parents are worried about Attention Deficit Disorder?
Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), otherwise known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), has until recently gained more disapproval than positive attention. Children with Attention Deficit Disorder are feared even by teachers who are not trained to handle them, viewed as disruptive and problematic failures that grow up into ruffians and good-for-nothings. These children are endowed with boundless energy which, just like a raging bull, cannot be bottled up but is released like a disruptive tornado. Is there any reason why prim and proper adults who themselves grew up in a cultured, organized and highly structured society should tolerate such insolent and destructive behavior?
Let us examine the origin of the issues that face parents of children with Attention Deficit Disorder. The word disorder gives one the impression of problems, chaos and heartbreaks. A disorder goes against the very grain of society and signifies something that is a bane to the majority. As such, people with disorders are deemed outcasts, weird, insane, unsociable and fit only for mental health institutes. They are often isolated and made to feel out of the world that they have every right to be in. There is little wonder then, why parents are worried about Attention Deficit Disorder.
What makes children with Attention Deficit Disorder such attention grabbers? These are the common characteristics of children with Attention Deficit Disorder:
## Impulsive
##Easily distracted
##Fidgety
##Easily agitated
##Unable to wait in turns
##Loud and boisterous
##Easily offended
##A keen sense of right and wrong
Why do these characteristics make parents worried about Attention Deficit Disorder when they seem like normal characteristics of children? The abnormality lies in the fact that all these characteristics are present and noticeable in children
