Poetry: Forgive me

by Marissa Sealey

Created on: September 17, 2008

My heart skips over itself and beats a stronger version of pitter pat.
Don't know exactly what I did wrong, I just want my friend back.
Please answer the message and let me know you are fine.
I would do anything to hear your voice on the line.
Forgive me my shortcomings and this awful rhyme.
I promise I will leave you alone, most of the time.
Just let me know that you still care as I.
Why won't you forgive me, why?
