I went to the doctor and waited my turn;
The pretty nurse came to the door.
She hoarsely called my name;
With my purse on my shoulder,
It was so heavy; it felt like I had a boulder.
I got up to go.
She stops me in that long hall,
To take my blood pressure and all.
She took me to a brightly lit room,
I put on my gown, and I didn't make a sound.
With my feet up in stir-ups,
It gave me plenty of time to look around.
Then I heard him at the door,
And I looked down at the floor.
He came through the door,
With happiness written all over his face.
He examined me as if he was in a race,
With my gown pulled up, and my underwear down,
They preformed a type two ultrasound.
They put some clear jelly,
All over my belly.
He rubbed a small wand, all over that area.
What do you see, I said?
With a great big grin, that covered his face,
He said Grace it's a pretty little girl with an angelic face.
She wiped the jelly from my belly, and told me to get dressed.
I put on my clothes, and walked out the door.
I took out a check and paid at the window, smiling
I left and didn't look back.
