Weight loss infomercials: Don't be fooled!

I wish there was something good to say about weight loss infomercials, but the truth is that they are all phony. As an overweight person for my whole life I have paid close attention to every weight loss commercial I have ever seen.

If you'd read closely at the bottom of the screen you'll see one of three possible phrases. The first sentence you might see is, "Results not typical." Another sentence you might read is, " Results will vary. " And the most popular sentence is, " These are actors, not actual patients. "

The thing about these commercials is that the sales and advertising people are hoping that we're not intelligent enough to read the small print, see the " miraculous " result, and believe the lie that we can all get skinny from their product. We may be considered fat, but we're not stupid. If just anyone could get slim then their wouldn't be so many overweight people in this country.

Another thing noticeably wrong with the commercials is that when the so-called
" patients " are revealed as sexy and slim they are bearing six packs and tans. Does this mean that along with becoming thin i could get a six pack and a tan by using their product? I don't believe i could. So why do they bother to fool me and everyone else?

The answer is because they are scam artists. They prey on us because overweight people are desperate to become thin and attractive. Lets face it, we're all tired of being known as " the fat one " in the family, in our group of friends, at work, or at parties. The people that think that sort of thing are the people that are trying to trick us.

They tell us that their products is doctor approved, but remember that their is always a catch. So, forget the magical weight loss pills. First try exercise and diet, and if that doesn't work try a nutritionist. If that doesn't work you could try surgery if you want to be healthy, but the pills aren't the answer. Sometimes the money is the problem, but diet pills are a waste of money if you truly want to be thin i sincerely suggest investing in a trainer or equally trust worthy option. Do not forget to take a look at all the options before you commit to a solution and only commit to something you believe in, can afford, and lets you be yourself. Good luck on your way becoming healthy.
