Sea & Land - The tide
The ocean waves call to me from a distance
A wild animal as if caged, its will not allowed to be
The tide is out, the sea bed free for me to walk on
A carpet of sand spread out under my bare feet
Picking little shells, watching the crabs scurry past me
I walk miles on it, the sun beating down upon me
Slowly, the waves start making a comeback
Each time the water gets higher and then even higher
And then draws back as if by an invisible string
I play games with it each time it comes towards me
Allowing the waves to touch me, to caress me
The power of the tide gets stronger
The waves noisy as if annoyed at me
Wanting to claim their land back again from me
No human allowed to walk on this sea bed
Home of the waves alone, home of the mighty sea
