If you will notice the word, life is in the first line eight times. God's gift to me was foresight. As a youngster I what through a stage of depression after my Mother passed. I felt the pressures of trying to keep my sibling and nephew together. I hated God for the setting, which I felt he had placed me. So, one day after I had taken more than what I thought I could stand, I decided to take the bottle full of pills I was taking for a knee injury, I received playing basketball.
As I drifted off into a welcomed, everlasting rest, I began to see scenes of my life to be. I seen my sons, my children lost, and the tears I was to shed. I seen the grandchildren to come and the times we were to share. I seen the bad marriages and the wrong we both would do, I seen my life to be. The one thing I did not see was the death of my living children or me. Why, I do not know, maybe we all life long lives or maybe that was something God did not want me to see. With all I seen, it was my life and now I wanted it. Never the less I wanted to live, I needed to live, and I had to live.
I began trying to bring my mind back, but I could not. Then God sent and angel through way of my cousin whom lived next door. She came into the house and asked of my where about. My Dad told her I was in my room sleep, she told him that she needed to talk to me about something important, he told her to go ahead, that I had been sleep too long anyway. She came into my room and immediately got me on my feet. She said that my dead mother had sent her. She said that my mother had told her of what I had done and that I needed help to come back to this side.
I could tell in her voice and her touch that she was telling the truth. Moreover, I know that she was telling the truth because no one else knew that I was in my room attempting to take my life. Therefore, with God, an angel and a cousin I am still here.
Life, life, life, life, life, life, life and LIFE, is the life that foresight has given me this far! The first life is for me and the life, which he gave back to me, life 2 through 5, is that of my four living sons, life 6 and 7 is the life of my two grandchildren already here and LIFE is the grandchildren yet to come.
Therefore, the best gift God have ever given me was the gift of foresight. Because with all the heartaches, all the storms and all the days that the devil got aboard, I still have the birth of my sons, the smile of their happiness, the grandchildren love, the love I have shared with others and I have GOD.
